COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team has been active in the community as of late. Most recently they volunteered at the Northeast Elementary "Family Fun Fest."

The team spent the night running games and activities that were set up, playing with students, and mingling with the families. Opportunities like this are a great way for the athletes to meet community members and influence young fans in a positive manner.

The team officially starts practice on October 1, and host Truett-McConnell in an exhibition game on November 5.
