COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team wraps up its four-game road stretch as they head to Murray State on Monday for a 7 p.m. CT tip-off.

The Golden Eagles (7-13, 4-3) are looking to rebound from a two-game skid and maintain an above .500 record in the Ohio Valley Conference. Tech dropped its second-straight at the hands of Austin Peay on Saturday afternoon, 79-70. Despite getting 25 points from junior Diamond Henderson and a double-double, 14 points and 10 boards, from junior Candace Parson, the Golden Eagles were unable to halt the streaking Lady Govs who are now on a four-game winning streak.

The Murray State Racers (8-11, 1-6) are looking to find their way in OVC play as they are just 1-6, most recently losing a close game, 78-76, to Jacksonville State on Saturday afternoon. Despite getting career-high points from forwards Jessica Winfery, 20, and Bianca Babic, 21, the Racers fell just short as JSU saw five different players score in double-figures.

With a 58-15 all-time record against the Racers, Tech and Murray matched up in Cookeville last season with the 'W' going to the Racers, 68-52. Henderson was the lone Golden Eagle to notch double-digits with 17, while Murray's Mariah Robinson and Erika Sisk scored 16 and 12, respectively, for the Racers. The Golden Eagles won't have to deal with Sisk and Robinson this season, but Winfery and Babic will pose problems of their own.

The Racers offense is averaging 74.4 points per game, while making 9.1 three-pointers per game at 32.6%. The Golden Eagles will need to step up their three-point defense as they are last in the OVC at allowing opponents to make 39.5% of their shots from deep.

The game versus Murray State will be available on the Golden Eagle Sports Network via 106.1 FM The Eagle with Roger Ealey calling the action. It can also be seen on the OVC Digital Network.
