Faculty/Staff Appreciation Nights Monday and Saturday in Eblen Center


COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Employees of Tennessee Tech University and their families will be featured next week in Eblen Center when the Golden Eagle basketball teams hosts Faculty/Staff Appreciation Nights at their Ohio Valley Conference games.

All TTU faculty and staff members may receive free tickets (up to four per person) to the games on Monday and Saturday by showing a staff ID. Tickets may be picked in advance or at the game, through the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center. For additional ticket information, please call 372-3940.

The offer extends to employees of SSC Custodial Services, Chartwell's Food Services, and Barnes and Noble Bookstore.

On Monday, coach Jim Davis' women's team hosts Eastern Illinois in a 7 p.m. game. On Saturday, coach Steve Payne send the men's team into action against Southeast Missouri.

Faculty and staff my take advantage of this special offer for both games.

"We have such a wonderful relationship with so many of our faculty and staff members all across campus, and this is just one small gesture that we do to show our appreciation," said Mark Wilson, TTU Director of Athletics. "Our staff in Athletics and our student-athletes work very hard to always represent the University in a first-class manner, and we see the same high level of commitment to excellence everywhere we look on our campus."

Head women's basketball coach Jim Davis also gave high praise to the Tech faculty and the staff.

"We feel very fortunate to have such a great faculty and staff at Tech," Davis said. "The enviornment and support they give us is second to none."

"We are thankful to have faculty and staff who are supportive of our student athletes and have an interest their basketball team and hope to see all of them in the Eblen Center cheering for the Golden Eagles as we work toward OVC championships," said head men's basketball coach Steve Payne. "It is great to recognize the people who are so vital to the success of Tennessee Tech – our faculty and staff."
