COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team hits the Eblen Center hardwood versus Morehead State on Saturday in a 5:30 p.m. CT tip. This is the first of two meetings between these two squads within 15 days.

This marks the 77th game between these two programs. The Golden Eagles hold a 57-19 advantage, including the last five wins over Morehead State. Last season, Tech swept the Eagles, winning 84-70 in Morehead, Ky., while the Golden Eagles took it to MSU at home, 73-53, in the rematch.

Morehead State (10-14, 4-7) is led by Terrice Robinson who is averaging a team-high 17.5 points per game and adding 2.8 rebounds. However, the team's leader has missed the last two games. Almesha Jones has had to step up in Robinson's absence, and is averaging 13.4 points and 4.4 rebounds while dishing out 5.8 assists. The Eagles are 6-6 in road games, including 2-3 in road conference games.

Saturday will be Senior Night for the Tech women's team, as the University recognizes Kayla Kimes, Kayla Brewer, and Molly Heady.

Brewer joined this season after graduating with her Bachelors of Science from the University of Texas. While pursuing her masters in professional studies at TTU, Brewer has added a strong defensive presence to the Golden Eagles this season. She is leading the team with 39 blocks on the season, which also puts her at second in the OVC with 1.6 per game on the entire season. During conference play, Brewer has stepped up her game as she is leading the conference against OVC teams only with 2.6, and 29 of her 39 coming in those 11 OVC games.

Heady, a four-year contributor for the Golden Eagles, will be recognized for her solid career. This season she is shooting a league-best 46.3 percent and will leave the program as one of the most accurate three-point shooters. Heady is averaging 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds this season.
