WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team officially concluded the 2024 season with the final round of action at the NCAA West Lafayette Regional Tuesday afternoon, finishing off the program's first-ever appearance in an NCAA Regional at the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. 

The purple and gold wrapped up the event 13th overall, posting a 907 behind a final round of 306. Vanderbilt placed first with a 24-under 840, clinching a spot in the NCAA Championships along with Purdue, Florida, Arizona, and New Mexico. The Commodores' William Moll led all individuals in the field with a 209 overall.

Finishing first among the Golden Eagles was sophomore Haden Maxwell, producing a collective 225 to tie for 54th among the 75 golfers. He tallied a 77 in the final round on Tuesday, sporting a birdie and 12 pars. 

One stroke back for the weekend was Jackson Green, placing 56th with a 226. The junior led the purple and gold on the final day of play, carding a 1-over 73 behind two birdies and 13 pars. 

Seniors Sean Anderson and Mark McDearman locked down the next two spots on the leaderboard for Tech, with Anderson producing 229. The veteran turned in an 84 on the day. McDearman piled up three birdies and 10 pars on his way to a 3-over 75, finishing with a 231 overall.

Freshman Alex Broyles rounded out the effort for the Golden Eagles, recording an 81 with a birdie on his final day on the course. He rounded things out with a total of 241.
