Purple and gold round out regular season at Mountaineer Invitational

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team will get its final tune-up prior to the OVC Championships, heading to Bridgeport, W.Va. and Pete Dye Golf Club for the Mountaineer Invitational Monday and Tuesday.

MOUNTAINEER INVITATIONAL: Apr. 15-16, 2024 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 7,308-yard Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W.Va. Play will begin with round one Monday morning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT. Round two will follow immediately following the conclusion of the first run.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Anders Larson, senior Mark McDearman, sophomore Haden Maxwell, junior Jackson Skeen, and senior Sean Anderson

THE COMPETITION: The 16-team field consists of host West Virginia, as well as App State, Army, Central Michigan, James Madison, Loyola Maryland, Marshall, North Alabama, Oral Roberts, Robert Morris, St. John's, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, William & Mary, WKU, and Xavier.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "We're very excited to take part in such a great event. This is a great opportunity for these young men and for this program and I believe we are up for the challenge. The course looks phenomenal and the guys are ready to go in our final event before the OVC Championships."
