COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team heads west for its most unique event of the year, competing in the Carpenter-Chaney Classic in Paducah, Ky., from Monday, Apr. 1 through Tuesday, Apr. 2. The tournament will feature match play with eight total teams, all members of the Ohio Valley Conference, getting a preview of how the final day of the league's championship tournament will look in April.

CARPENTER-CHANEY CLASSIC: Apr. 1-2, 2024 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 7,014-yard Country Club of Paducah in Paducah, Ky. Play will begin with Monday morning's first round, a split tee start off holes 1 and 10 at 8:00 a.m. CT, with the second round to tee off at 1:00 p.m. The third and final round tees off at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Each team will play three matches with a winner's side and a consolation side after round one. The No. 4-seeded Golden Eagles are set to square off with No. 5-seeded Lindenwood in the first round.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Haden Maxwell, sophomore Anders Larson, senior Sean Anderson, senior Mark McDearman, junior Jackson Skeen, and freshman Alex Broyles.

THE COMPETITION: The eight-team field consists of co-hosts Morehead State and UT Martin, as well as Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, SIUE, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, and Tennessee Tech.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "After a solid start to the spring, we are ready to shift gears momentarily for the Third Annual Carpenter-Chaney Match Play event. We have thoroughly enjoyed playing in this event for the last two years and have experienced a great deal of success. Paducah Country Club is a fantastic test that has hosted several OVC Championships and the guys are excited to get there and compete."
