Men's Golf

Spring 2023 (Junior): Anderson took part in all four of Tech’s spring tournaments, totaling 12 rounds of play… did not compete in the team’s match-play event in the spring… fired a career-low 67 in the first round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 12-14), totaling a 222 for a top-20 finish… also turned in a 67 in the third round of the OVC Championships (Apr. 23-25), placing 17^th with a 222… delivered a career-best 72-73-71=216 at the Big Blue Intercollegiate (Apr. 10-11)… ended the year with a 76.48 scoring average.

Fall 2022 (Junior): Anderson participated in three of the team’s five events in the fall, finishing nine rounds of action… turned in a season-low 233 behind rounds of 80, 81, and 72 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge (Sept. 12-14)… produced a 79-78-79=236 at The Grover Page Classic (Sept. 19-20)… wrapped up the fall with a scoring average of 80.11.

Spring 2022 (Sophomore*): Anderson competed in four of Tech's six spring tournaments, completing seven rounds of stroke play and taking part in the team's match play event… produced a 78-73-79=230 to tie for 20th at the OVC Championships (Apr. 24-26)… posted season-best rounds of 73 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 14-15) and again at the OVC Championships… earned a win in match play at 1UP against Tennessee State at the Carpenter-Chaney Classic (Apr. 4-5)… earned the team's Coach's Award… finished the year with a 76.86 scoring average.

Fall 2021 (Sophomore*): Anderson did not compete in any of the team’s four events in the fall.

Spring 2021 (Sophomore): Anderson took part in two of Tech’s six events in the spring, completing six rounds of action… shot a 72-79-74=225 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 14-16)… rounded out the year with a 73-82-71=226 at the Big Blue Intercollegiate (Apr. 12-13)… named the team’s Most Improved Player Award winner… concluded the year with a scoring average of 75.17.

Fall 2020 (Sophomore): The 2020 fall season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spring 2020 (Freshman): Anderson did not participate in the team's only event of the spring before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fall 2019 (Freshman): Anderson participated in one event in the fall, totaling three rounds of play… made his collegiate debut with a 76-76-73=225 at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate (Oct. 14-15)… tied for 45th in the event… finished the fall with a 75.00 scoring average.

High School: Anderson lettered four years for head coach Kevin Vannoy at Science Hill High School in Johnson City… earned All-State honors after tying for third with an even-par 72 at the TSSAA Large Class Boys’ State Championship as a senior… also led Science Hill to the state title… during his career, helped SHHS to four conference crowns, four regional titles, and three district championships… helped Science Hill to a runner-up finish at the state championships as a sophomore.

Personal: Son of Frank Anderson and Margaret Fugate… born March 5, 2001… full name is Sean Anderson… brother, Lucas Anderson, played baseball at Austin Peay from 2008-12.

Academic: Pursuing a master’s degree in business administration… earned his bachelor’s degree in business management in May 2023… named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll seven times and to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll three times.
