PADUCAH, Ky. – After splitting the first day of action at the Carpenter-Chaney Classic on Monday, the Tennessee Tech men's golf team closed out the match-play event at the Country Club of Paducah with a tie Tuesday afternoon, finishing 1-1-1 for the event.

Squaring off with Southern Indiana in the eight-team event, the Golden Eagles split the decisions right down the middle for a final 3-3-0 score. Finishing off a perfect 3-0 week at the event, sophomore Anders Larson picked up a completely dominant victory over his Screaming Eagle counterpart.

Larson took home a 7&5 decision breaking a tie after the first hole and never looking back. Also securing a big win for the purple and gold was Haden Maxwell. The fellow sophomore handled his business comfortably, besting the USI side 3&2 after taking the lead for good following the eighth hole.

Rounding out Tech's efforts in the win column on the day was junior Jackson Skeen. The Golden Eagle veteran jumped on top after the first hole and that was it, leading wire-to-wire for a no-doubt, 4&3 victory.

The Golden Eagles compete one more time prior to the Ohio Valley Conference Championships at the end of the month, heading for Bridgeport, W.Va. for the Mountaineer Invitational Monday, Apr. 15 through Tuesday, Apr. 16 at Pete Dye Golf Club.
