BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team saw a weather delay last long enough to require a second day to complete round two of the Mountaineer Invitational, with only the first-round results officially available Monday evening.

Due to darkness, one final group was unable to complete the second round, delaying its conclusion until the trio squares things up at 6:30 a.m. CT. Round three will then kick off at 7:30 a.m., with pairings put together in the morning.

Following one round of action at Pete Dye Golf Club, the Golden Eagles were tied for 10th overall among the 16-team field. Tech recorded a 305 to match the effort of Loyola Maryland sitting just five shots back of fourth place.

Host West Virginia led the field with a 3-under 285. It was a tie at the top of the individual leaderboard, with the Mountaineers' Max Green and Marshall's Tyler Jones each firing 6-under 66s.

For the purple and gold, Haden Maxwell paced the effort with a 2-over 74 to tie for 16th among the field of 91 golfers. The sophomore chalked up three birdies with 11 pars to do his damage on the day.

One stroke back with a 3-over 75 was senior Mark McDearman, tying for 30th overall. The veteran also notched a trio of birdies to go along with 10 pars. Next among the Cookeville crew, sophomore Anders Larson locked down a 77 to tie for 45th. Piling up 12 pars, the youngster ripped off an eagle on the par-5 eighth hole.

Two shots back was junior Jackson Skeen, producing a 79 with 11 pars to tie for 67th through round one. Rounding out the Golden Eagle crew, Sean Anderson recorded an 84, producing a pair of birdies along the way.
