COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With three wins in as many games, the Tennessee Tech women's cagers will look for their fourth straight victory Saturday when they host the Tennessee Wesleyan Lady Bulldogs at 6 p.m. in Eblen Center.

The last time the Golden Eagles began the season 4-0 was in the 1992 season when TTU defeated UT Chattanooga, Florida, Southern Illinois and Georgia Southern. Tech would go on to finish the season 22-7, which included an Ohio Valley Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

This will be the first official meeting between Tennessee Tech and Tennessee Wesleyan. Both teams met last year at Eblen Center in an exhibition contest that saw TTU gain the 97-51 victory. Junior guards Tacarra Hayes and Rachel Glidden, along with sophomore forward Tiara Hopper, each netted 19 points.
"We're still a young team," head coach Sytia Messer said. "We can't take anyone for granted."

The Golden Eagles improved to 3-0 with a 61-56 victory over Belmont Sunday afternoon in Nashville. Against the Grizzlies, freshman guard Briana Jordan posted a team-high 17 points, to go along with nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Kellie Cook added eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

As a team, Tennessee Tech connected on 24-of-31 (.774) shots from the charity stripe, nine of which came in the final six minutes of the game against Belmont. The Golden Eagles also brought down 43 boards and dished out seven helpers.
