COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- One series of lunches is ending and another
series is beginning.
Tennessee Tech football coach Watson Brown will host the final
Football Insiders' Lunch on Monday (Nov. 22) in the Eagles' Nest of
Eblen Center. Fans who would like to attend the lunch are asked to
call (372-3949) by noon Friday to make their reservations.
Food is available by 11:30 a.m., with the program -- featuring
game footage explained by Coach Brown -- beginning shortly after
noon. The cost is $10 per person.
Meanwhile, basketball coaches Mike Sutton and Sytia Messer are
gearing up for a weekly Basketball Lunch, also scheduled for
Mondays in the Eagles' Nest. The Basketball Lunch will begin the
following week (Monday, Nov. 29).
"Fans of Tennessee Tech football have really enjoyed going 'inside' the Golden Eagle football program each week with Coach Brown," said Mark Wilson, TTU Director of Athletics. "I think our basketball fans will enjoy the same type of discussions with our basketball coaches throughout the season."
Designed to be a gathering place for friends of Tech football and basketball in a comfortable, casual atmosphere, the coaches talk about their program, answer questions fans have about the teams, the games, and try to keep everyone up-to-date on the programs.
The meals will be catered by Chartwell’s, the on-campus food service for Tennessee Tech University.
