Golden Eagles bring four-game winning streak back home as they host SIUE

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After extending its winning streak to four games at the expense of Morehead State Monday, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team returns home Wednesday as it looks to even the season series against SIU Edwardsville.

The opening tip is set for 7 p.m.

This will be the fourth meeting between the Golden Eagles and Cougars, with TTU owning a 2-1 record against SIUE. The Cougars dealt Tech a 62-54 loss in their earlier meeting this season. Sophomore Jala Harris paced the Golden Eagles offense with 19 points, while SIUE's Courtney Kenner tallied a team-high 13 points.

During their four-game winning streak, the Golden Eagles have had multiple players chip in on offense as six players have averaged at least six points per game, including senior Tacarra Hayes and sophomore Molly Heady, who are averaging 15.8 and 10.8 points per game, respectively. Senior Rachel Glidden has also been a spark on offense as she has dropped in at least 10 points in her last two games.

The Cougars (12-8, 6-3 OVC) enter Wednesday's game winners of four of their last five games, which includes a pair of wins against Austin Peay (72-61) and Jacksonville State (78-57) in their last two games.

SIUE has three players averaging at least 10 points per game including Michaela Herrod, Katie Hempen and Jazmin Hill. Raven Berry is currently leading the Cougars in rebounds with 8.7 per game, while Kenner is averaging a team-high 4.2 assists per game.
