COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Fans heading to Nashville this week for the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Tournament are reminded to purchase tickets from the Tennessee Tech Athletics Ticket Office in order to be seated in the Golden Eagle cheering section.
Tech fans showed phenomenal support for the Golden Eagles
Saturday night in Eblen Center, setting a new women's attendance
record of 6,512, and backing the men's team with more than 9,000
for the fifth largest crowd in arena history.
"The atmosphere was phenomenal," said Director of Athletics Mark
Wilson. "Our fans did a great job of supporting our teams.
"Now, we want to encourage everyone to attend the OVC Tournament
in Nashville this week and keep that level of enthusiasm going
strong," Wilson said.
The Golden Eagle women play their first game at 2 p.m. Thursday
and the men’s team opens play at 6 p.m. Thursday.
To purchase tickets, fans need to buy them from the TTU Athletics
Ticket Office in order to sit in the Tech cheering section. If fans
wait to purchase tickets at the arena box office, the seats will
not be in the Tech section.
The only way to join the Tech cheering section is to visit or call
the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center (931-372-3940) and
reserve your seats; they will not be available for purchase at the
arena. Purchased tickets can then be picked up at the TTU Will Call
table at the arena.
Tickets may be ordered through the Eblen Center ticket office up
until game time. Tickets purchased through the Tennessee Tech
ticket office will benefit TTU financially.
Student tickets are available for $5 each by showing a valid TTU
ID card. Students can purchase tickets at the arena by
visiting the Tech Will Call table in the lobby. Students tickets
will not be available at the arena box office.
