COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team
spent the early part of Thanksgiving Day spreading thanks and
holiday spirit around the First United Methodist Church.
The players helped the Food Bank at First United Methodist feed countless homeless and needy families a Thanksgiving Day meal they normally would not receive. The team helped deliver food back and forth from the kitchen to the families and other people.
The Tennessee Tech players also spent some time talking to the people who came to receive a Thanksgiving treat, sharing stories and playing games.
The event was one of several that the men's basketball team has been a part of this season after volunteering at numerous middle and elementary schools and other community events.
