Golden Eagles travel to Alabama A&M

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Looking for their second road victory of the season, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will head to Huntsville, Ala. Tuesday to take on the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs. The opening tip is set for 6 p.m.

This will be the second meeting between TTU and AAMU with the Golden Eagles winning last year's meeting 82-67. Senior Tacarra Hayes and junior Kellie Cook each tallied 17 points against the Lady Bulldogs last season, while senior Krystal Stirrup recorded nine rebounds.

Tech is currently 2-4 on the season, including its most recent loss to Western Carolina last Saturday.

The Golden Eagle offense is led by Hayes, who has tallied 1,300 career points at Tech. Senior Brittany Darling, who tallied 18 points and eight rebounds against WCU, is currently averaging 8.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Alabama A&M is 2-2 on the season and is currently riding a two-game winning streak with wins over Lipscomb (72-54) and Murray State (76-71).

Whiquitta Tobar leads the Lady Bulldog offense, averaging 24 points per game, while Nadra Robertson leads AAMU in rebounds with 40.
