Tech begins two-game homestand Monday against Lipscomb Lady Bisons

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After a rough November in which the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team went 2-5, the Golden Eagles will look to start anew in December as it hosts the Lipscomb Lady Bisons Monday, with the opening tip set for 7 p.m.

This will be the fourth meeting between TTU and Lipscomb, with Tech claiming each game over the past three seasons. Last year, seniors Tacarra Hayes and Rachel Glidden each chimed in with 11 points against the Lady Bisons, while junior Kellie Cook added 14 points, going 3-of-6 from three-point land.

As in the last two seasons, the Golden Eagle offense is led by Hayes, who is currently 16th on the all-time scores list at Tech with 1,308 points. Against Alabama A&M, sophomore Molly Heady led the TTU offense with 13 points, while connecting with three long range shots. Senior Brittany Darling also made an impact against the Lady Bulldogs, notching a game-high 12 rebounds.

Lipscomb started the year 0-7, but was finally able to get one in the win column with an 80-70 victory over Mercer. The Lady Bisons are currently 1-8 on the season.

Hannah Phillips and Anna Bowers lead the Lipscomb offense, averaging 11.1 points per game, while Phillips has averaged 5.7 rebounds per game.
