COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee Tech head women’s basketball coach Sytia Messer spoke at the Cookeville Kiwanis Club Tuesday afternoon.

Messer was the key speaker at the luncheon, which was held at the Cookeville Country Club.

Messer talked about the success the team had last season and what fans can expect from her team this upcoming season. She also fielded questions from club members and dined with the club.

The Golden Eagles begin their 2011-10 schedule Friday, at East Tennessee State in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT. The opening tip is set for 6 p.m.

Season tickets are on sale for the 2011-12 season and can be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office in Eblen Center, or by calling (931) 372-3940. There is a possibility Tech could host one or two more games of the Preseason WNIT.
