COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will celebrate it's share of the regular season Ohio Valley Conference championship at it's annual Awards Dinner. The dinner, to be held on Sunday, April 28, is open to all Golden Eagles basketball fans.
The 2012-13 season was full of excitement and the coaching staff will host its annual Awards Dinner at 2 p.m. in the Hyder-Burks Agricultural Pavilion Multipurpose Room. The cost is $14 per person.
The Golden Eagles opened up the conference season with a 4-0
record, the first Tech team to do so since 2001-02. Diamond
Henderson and Jala Harris
were both honored as OVC Players of the Week, and Lashay Davis
was twice named Newcomer of the Week. The team finished the regular
season as OVC co-champions with Davis and Henderson receiving
additional honors. Davis was named to the OVC All-Newcomer Team and
Henderson was named to the first-team All-OVC, the only sophomore
in the conference to be named to the list. The Golden Eagles
advanced to the OVC semifinals and championship game, marking the
in 31st tournament appearance and 27th semifinal game since the
Tournament's creation in 1982.
