CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Former Lee University All-American Brooke McKinnon-Evans, currently a member of the Tennessee Tech women's basketball staff, had her jersey (No. 30) officially retired by her alma mater during its Feb. 14 doubleheader against Southern Polytechnic State University.

A four-year starter for coach Marty Rowe, she helped the Lady Flames win 118 games against only 22 defeats. In 140 games she scored 2,216 points and is currently No. 2 on the Lee all-time scoring list.

McKinnon-Evans was a three-time NAIA All-American and four-time All-SSAC. She was named the conference Freshman of the Year in 2008-09 and was the SSAC Player of the Year in 2010-11.

A high school star at Tellico Plains (Tenn.), she helped the Lady Flames reach the NAIA National Championships four consecutive years. In 2008-09 Lee reached the Elite Eight of the 32-team field and in 2009-10 the Lady Flames advanced to the Final Four before being eliminated by Azusa Pacific.

"Brooke is one of the best people you will ever meet and was so important to building our program on the national level," noted Rowe. "She's a great role model for our current players because she did things the right way, on and off the court. Brooke and her family deserve this recognition and I couldn't be happier for all of them. She was a great player but more importantly; she was a great representative of our basketball program!"

McKinnon-Evans is currently the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at Tennessee Tech University.
