COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Jim Davis announced his final candidate in early signing period to National Letter of Intent. Signing to attend Tennessee Tech is guard Jessica Jones.

5-6, Guard
Florence, Ky. (Boone County HS)

Jessica Jones is a versitle guard and an athlete. Jones has the ability to take over a game when basketball skills alone are not enough. Jones was awarded the Miss Hustle Award in the ninth region of Kentucky.

"I'm so, so excited," said Jones. "I can't wait to be on campus, I didn't think something this big would come out of playing basketball."

Jones is considered to be one of the best athletes to ever wear a Lady Rebels Basketball unifom, and but her high school coach, Nell Fookes, feels her style of play will fit right in with Tech.

"Jessica has a natural strength, speed and quickness," said Fookes. "She has the ability to control the offensive and defensive tempo of the game. Her drive to be the best and beat the best is what I feel makes Jessica a special player. She will fit in well with Tech's fast paced offensive and defensive style of play."

Davis sees a similar spark that will make Jones a natural fit to Tech's team.

"Dynamite comes in small packages and Jessica is no different. We love her game, especially her defense. She is a tremendous player, intense and quick on her feet. Jessica has great court vision with the ability to lead."
