COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Diamond Henderson and Lashay Davis won adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Players of the Week honors Tuesday, voted on by conference Sports Information Directors. Henderson was named Co-Player of the Week, while Davis received the nod for Newcomer of the Week.

Henderson averaged 26.0 points per game as Tech split a pair of games last week. She scored a career-high 31 points off the bench in the loss against Akron. In her first career start against Rice, Henderson recorded 21 points, a career-high six assists and a career-best four steals to go with one block.

Davis put up 9.5 points per game while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor. She scored 10 points versus Akron and followed that up with nine against Rice. Davis drained three shots from behind the arc against Rice, while also dishing out a career-high four assists.

Joining Henderson in Co-Player of the Week was UT Martin's Jasmine Newsome. Newsome averaged 20.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game last week as the Skyhawks went 0-3.

CoCo Moore of SIUE won Freshman of the Week honors. More averaged 8.3 points across two games.

Henderson, Davis and the Golden Eagles will be on the court in Eblen Center at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to host arch-rival Middle Tennessee State as the first game of a doubleheader. The Tech men entertain Evansville in the nightcap.

The Golden Eagles are also at home Saturday night at 7 p.m. against Louisiana-Monroe, and next Tuesday (Nov. 27) against Alcorn State.
