Tech coach Jim Davis to host Elite Position Camp

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Decorated Tennesee Tech women's basketball coach Jim Davis is hosting an Elite Position Camp on Saturday, August 25, to share his knowledge with upcoming basketball stars. The camp is designed for athletes to focus on their positions and emphasizes leadership skills on and off the court.

The camp will cover all skills from ball-handling to shooting for girls in grades 9 through 12, but will highlight skills specific to each player's position. Athletes will have the opportunity to play on the Golden Eagles' home court at Hooper Eblen Center and work with Davis, his coaching staff and the 2012-13 basketball team.

The camp is scheduled to run all day, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Registration cost is $60 and registration will be held from 8:30-9 am the morning of the camp.

Davis is starting his first season at the helm of the women's basketball team. Davis' storied career has spanned 501 all-time victories across 25 seasons as a collegiate coach. At Clemson, Davis won two Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, as well as an Ohio Valley Conference Championship at Middle Tennessee State.

For more information on the Elite Position Camp, please contact Allison Clark  931-267-1743 or Erin Batth 931-267-1053.
