"Take A Kid To The Game" is Monday in Tech's Eblen Center

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech fans will have a special opportunity to introduce some new fans to Golden Eagle basketball on Monday in Eblen Center when the women's basketball team hosts UT Martin in one of the most anticipataed Ohio Valley Conference games of the year.

The Tech Athletics Dept. is hosting "Take A Kid To The Game" night, an event that allows one free youth admission (ages 3 through 18) with each paid admission.

Tech was picked to finish first in the East Division of the OVC in the league's annual preseason poll while UT Martin was picked to win the West Division. The Skyhawks are the defending OVC tournament champs, after defeating Tech in the title game in Nashville last March. The Golden Eagles currently lead the East Division with a 4-1 OVC record.

The game is slated for a 7 p.m. tipoff. The special free youth tickets can be picked up in advance or at the game from the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center.

The ticket office will be closed most of the day Monday for the Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday, but will open at 4 p.m. for the game. This week, the ticket office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4:30 p.m.  For more information, please call the ticket office at (931) 372-3940
