Golden Eagles pay a visit to residents at Morningside

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Four members of the Tennessee Tech football team made a stop at the Morningside Assisted Living center Thursday morning, delivering pumpkins and sharing some time with several elderly residents. The players who volunteered included redshirt freshman offensive lineman Justin Ivory, junior linebacker Jerry King, junior offensive lineman James Normand, and redshirt freshman defensive back Patrick Prewitt.

The four teammates decided to pay a visit to those people who don't normally get a lot of visitors and share in their stories. The idea for the visit stemmed from their participation in the Tennessee Tech Athletics Department Pumpkin Carving Contest earlier this month. They also talked a lot about Golden Eagle sports and the football season.

To learn more about the pumpkin carving contest and other Tech athletics happenings, take a look at the Tennessee Tech Athletics magazine, unlimited. The magazine, which has just produced its second edition, gives Golden Eagle fans a closer look inside Tech athletics.
