Photo Day is free and open to the public;
Plaster's show to air on Cookeville's 106.1 FM
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Sports radio personality George Plaster,
among the most popular talk show hosts in the region, will be a
featured participant Saturday when the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle
football team assembles in Tucker Stadium for its annual Photo
Day.
The public is invited to meet the Tech team and coaches, as well
as visit with Plaster, the popular Nashville sports talk show host.
Plaster's show, called "Sports Night on The Game Radio Network"
will begin airing locally on Fox Sports Radio 106.1 The Eagle on
Monday. The show is on daily from 3 to 6 p.m. CT.
Football fans, families and friends are all invited to the
team’s annual Photo Day, which will take place on Overall
Field from 10 until 11:15 a.m. Saturday's event will be the first
chance for fans to visit with the 2012 team as it begins its qusst
to repeat as Ohio Valley Conference champions.
The Golden Eagles report to campus Friday to open fall camp, and will assemble on the field Saturday for the official team photo at 10 a.m. After that, individual and group photos will be taken, and fans are encouraged to meet with the players and coaching staff.
Tech opens the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 30, by hosting FCS foe Hampton University, and season tickets are currently on sale. Fans visiting for Photo Day will have the chance to purchase season tickets, pick up posters and pocket schedules, and visit with Plaster and the team.
