COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech Athletics officials are reminding fans that season tickets to support the Golden Eagle football team in 2012 are still a bargain with five home games remaining, starting Thursday night against North Greenville.

Even though Tech has already hosted its first home game -- and earned a convincing victory in front of 10,130 fans in Tucker Stadium -- a season ticket still offers savings over purchasing invidivual game tickets. For fans planning to attend several games this fall, each adult season ticket still provides a savings of 28 percent.

An adult season ticket is priced at $36, which figures out to $7.20 per game for the remaining five games. In fact, the season ticket price will still provide savings of eight percent as late as the third game, Oct. 6, against Jacksonville State, if it includes only the final four home games.

"The message we want to stress is that fans should still consider purchasing season tickets because they are still a great value," says Leveda Birdwell, TTU director of corporate sales and marketing. "A lot of fans might think that since we've already played a game, it's too late to buy season tickets. That's not the case. A season ticket is still a really good bargain."

In addition, Tech is still offering the "Back the Golden Eagles" plan, which provides 10 season tickets for $200. With five games remaining, that still figures out to only $4 per game per ticket. And, after this week's game, a "Back the Golden Eagles" plan still makes each game ticket just $5 per seat for the final four games.
