COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Following their 41-31 win over Hampton
Thursday to open the season, the Tennessee Tech football team
continues to gain national respect and has moved up among teams
receiving votes in both the FCS Coaches Poll and the Sport Network
Poll. Tech is among "others receiving votes" in both polls and
comes in at No. 32 on one list and No. 35 on the other.
Eight different OVC teams received votes in the Sports Network
poll, while five conference schools were on the list in the Coaches
Poll.
The Golden Eagles (1-0) are hoping to remain unbeaten and improve
to 2-0 when they host North Greenville Thursday at 7 p.m. in Tucker
Stadium. Tickets for the game, as well as season tickets -- which
continue to offer savings over individual game tickets -- are on
sale at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center or by calling
(931) 372-3940.
