COOKEVILLE, Tenn -- Tennessee Tech wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers has announced he will bypass his senior senior and will not be returning to the Golden Eagle roster next year, opting to make himself eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft.

Rogers caught 61 passes for 893 yards and tied the school record with 10 touchdowns in his lone season at Tech. The 6-foot-3 junior caught 18 passes for 303 yards in a 41-38 double-overtime loss to Southeast Missouri State to set school records in both categories. Rogers was named second-team all-OVC and earned a spot on the OVC all-newcomer team.

Rogers had 67 catches for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns for Tennessee in 2011 to earn all-Southeastern Conference honors.

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. said Rogers is a potential second- or third-round pick and has ''as much talent as any receiver in this draft.'' NFLDraftScout.com ranks him as the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2013 draft and the No. 9 wideout potentially available.

Another mock draft, NFLdraftwizard.com, puts Rogers as the 71st overall pick going to the San Diego Chargers. Meanwhile, Walterfootball.com projects Rogers to go in the second round, 56th overall, to the Baltimore Ravens.

The 2013 NFL Draft will be held April 25-27.
