COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The business community in Cookeville and
Putnam County will play a major role Thursday night in helping
Tennessee Tech enjoy a strong home field advantage for the Golden
Eagles opener against Hampton. Tech is hosting the annual
Communiversity Night at the first home game of the season.
Every business in the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce
has been invited to the game and has received a free ticket
offer.
Communiversity Night is one of two special promotions surrounding
the 7 p.m. game. It will also be First Tennessee Bank Poster Night.
The Magic 98.5 Tailgate Park opens at 4 p.m.
Director of Athletics Mark Wilson and head coach Watson Brown will
speak to the Chamber's "Breakfast Before Hours" gathering early
Tuesday morning.
