Injuries continue to plague Jerry King as he took a medical redshirt in 2011...injuries have bothered him throughout his first two years, limiting him to 12 games...a mid-season injury halted what was turning into a promising freshman season, and surgery kept Jerry sidelined throughout 2010 spring drills...has great instincts on the field...talented young player with an extremely bright future in purple and gold...has made four appearances on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

AT TECH (In 2010): Jerry saw action in seven games in a backup role at the Renegade linebacker position in his sophomore season...finished the year with seven total tackles...had two tackles at Rose Bowl champion TCU and two against Jacksonville State in Tech's end-of-season upset victory.

AT TECH (In 2009):
Jerry was off to a solid first season for the Golden Eagles when he was sidelined by an injury...finished with 21 total tackles in just five games...had five stops against Kansas State and a career-high 10 tackles at UT Martin...also recorded 1.5 tackles-for-loss in the win over the Skyhawks...forced a fumble at Eastern Illinois.

HIGH SCHOOL: One of two signees who were teammates at Dunwoody High School (along with LB Blake Adams), Jerry was a first-team all-Dekalb County selection as a junior after gaining honorable mention as a sophomore...injury limited him to just four games as a senior, yet he still had 64 total tackles, four tackles-for-loss, three sacks and caused one fumble...junior season also netted him Defensive MVP honors at his high school, as well as the Offensive Lineman Award while being named the first-team all-area and All-Northside...named to the Atlanta Journal Constitution “Juniors to Watch” list in 2007, he was a four-year letterman in both football and track & field, and served as team captain of both squad...in the shot put he finished third in the state as a junior while setting the school record of 54-feet, and took first place in the region as both a junior and senior...as a sophomore he won the team’s Linebacker Award, and as a freshman won the Coaches’ Award...during 2007 he had 111 total tackles, including 11 tackles-for-loss...also had three quarterback sacks, forced two fumbles and had two interceptions.
