COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—The Tech women's basketball team (2-6) will return home to host Northern Kentucky (2-4) on Sunday in a 2 p.m. contest at the Hooper Eblen Center.

Currently, the Norse lead the series 2-0 over the Golden Eagles. The last time the two teams faced was in the 2015 season when NKU defeated Tech 88-62 in Highland, Ky.

In the match last season, former Golden Eagle Samaria Howard led Tech with 16 points and three boards, while Hannah Goolsby tallied 12 points and two assists. Treyvonna Brooks also found herself in double digits, accumulating 11 points with four boards in the contest. Rebecca Lyttle led Northern Kentucky with 18 points and eight boards, while teammates Christine Roush tallied 15 points and Molly Glick put up 11 points.

As a team, the Golden Eagles shot 34.4 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from the three-point range, and 68.4 percent from the free throw line, the Norse shot 57.7 percent from the floor, 58.3 percent from downtown, and 84 percent from the charity stripe. NKU forced 20 Tech turnovers while allowing just 14, however, the Golden Eagles corralled 40 board's to the Norse's 29.

Hickson leads the Golden Eagles on the 2016-17 season averaging 14.4 points per game. She shoots 41.9 percent from the field, 27.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.4 percent from the free throw line. Hickson averages 3.5 rebounds per game and has tallied 11 assists on the year. 

Senior Treyvonna Brooks is Tech's leader off the glass. Brooks averages 6.5 boards per game, while also standing as the Golden Eagle's second leading scorer averaging 9.6 points per game. Brooks shoots 42.9 percent from the field and 60 percent from the charity stripe. She also leads the squad in blocks with 10 on the season. 

Hannah Goolsby is another key player on the Tech lineup. Goolsby averages 8.3 points (third best on team) and 3.4 boards per game. She shoots 29.9 percent from the floor, 32.6 percent from downtown, and 62.5 percent from the charity stripe. 

Lindsey Jennings is a player to watch as she averages 5.3 points and 5.0 boards (second best on team) per game. Jennings is the Golden Eagle's second leader in assists with 19 on the year, and she shoots 29.3 percent from the floor and 68 percent from the free throw line.

Kasey Uetrecht leads Northern Kentucky averaging 10.7 points per game. She is also the Norse's third leading rebounder averaging 4.2 boards per game. Uetrecht shoots 32.8 percent from the floor, 40 percent from the three-point range, and 70 percent from the line. She also leads NKU in assists with 13 on the season. 

Rebecca Lyttle is the Norse's leader of the glass, averaging 8.5 rebounds per game. Lyttle is also NKU's third leading scorer with 7.5 points per game, and she shoots 50 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from the charity stripe.

Another player to watch on the NKU lineup is Mikayla Terry. Terry is the Norse's second leading scorer (9.3 ppg) and second leading rebounder (6.3 rpg). She shoots 39.2 percent from the floor, 36.4 percent from downtown, and 52.2 percent from the free throw line. Terry also leads NKU in steals with nine on the year.
