COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Being a part of a tradition-rich program was nothing new for former Tennessee Tech women's basketball standout Allison Clark.

A part of the Golden Eagles' last NCAA Tournament team, Clark was long-range bomber for Tech and left a lasting impression on the record books.

Clark will be one of five inducted into the 42nd class of the Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Roaden University Center. The event is part of the University's Homecoming festivities.

Also to be inducted are Lori Bayless (softball), Marcia Borys (administration), Jillian Burns Elliott (women's soccer) and Emily Christian Hughes (women's basketball).

Tennessee Tech and Cookeville always seemed to be the right place to be for Allison Clark.

A product of the Shelbyville Central High School program, Clark started her collegiate career with a stint at North Texas, earning Big West Conference all-freshman honors and setting the freshman record for 3-pointers made in a season. She still ranks fourth in UNT history for 3-pointers.

But then she transferred to Tennessee Tech, where she was a three-year letterwinner for Golden Eagle head coach Bill Worrell. After sitting out the 1998-99 season due to the NCAA transfer rule, Clark helped Tech win or share the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championship all three years she was in Cookeville, compiling a 70-23 record.

During her time at Tech, her accuracy from beyond the arc was unparalled, leading the team all three seasons with a .406 percentage from downtown as she made 225 3-pointers, which was then an OVC record.

Clark still holds the sophomore and junior class records for 3-pointers made with 71 as a sophomore and 86 as a junior -- a mark that stood as the best season in OVC history.

In the conference books, she now stands in seventh in career 3s and 10th in single-season. Both of those totals remain Tech records, even after the 2015-16 season. Clark also holds the mark for career 3-point field goals attempted with 555.

Clark was a first-team all-OVC selection as a junior and was named to the OVC all-tournament team as a sophomore and a junior.

As a member of the Golden Eagles' NCAA Tournament team in 2000, she was awarded the Ed Steitz Award as the best 3-point shooter in the country by the National Basketball Hall of Fame.

Clark also made the OVC Academic Honor Roll two times during her career, and landed on the Tech Athletic Director's Honor Roll all eight semesters of her career. She also earned the team's Best Academic Average award in the 2000-01 season, and was named the Best Defensive Player following the 2001-02 season.

Clark graduated from Tech in 2002 with her bachelor's degree in health and physical education.

After coaching stints at the University of Arkansas, Middle Tennessee State University and Shelbyville Central High, Clark returned to her alma mater to serve as an assistant under head coach Jim Davis. Following his retirement, Clark has stayed on and currently works as an assistant coach for current Golden Eagle head coach Kim Rosamond.

Always the dedicated professional, Clark was a keynote speaker at the Women's Professional Luncheon in Shelbyville in 2009 and a Nike WBCA Assistant Coaches' Round Table presenter in San Antonio in 2010.

In 2014, Clark published her first book, "Off the Back of the Rim: Uplifting Thoughts to Help You Rebound from the Bricks of Life." It is an effective positive guide to life for young or old, and hits hard in directing its readers toward a more effective and fulfilling life with Christ as the Ultimate Coach.
