2016 Tech Football Alumni Golf Classic proves successful once again

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Food, fellowship and a round of golf greeted the Tennessee Tech football alums this weekend at Golden Eagle Golf Course as many returned to Cookeville to compete in the Tech Football Alumni Golf Classic.

The team of Danny Brooks, Brent Harris, Sam Brooks and Will Brooks won the event, shooting a 17-under 53 in the one-day affair.

Finishing second was the team of Rogers Luna, Kerry Davis, Trevor Howard and Mike Gaw, also with a 53.

In third with a 54 was the team of Jeff Norman, Michael Peoples, Andrew Johnson and Jeff Hunnicutt.

John Edgington won the longest drive contest in the 50-over division, while Tyler Pugh won in the 49-under division.

Wade Wheaton was the closest to the hole winner, while Cody Didier won the putting contest.
