COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Registration for the 2017 Pepsi Bobby Nichols Golden Eagle Scramble presented by Budweiser will officially open Tuesday morning (March 7), enabling golfers to make reservations for Tennessee Tech's two-day fundraiser that takes place June 2-3.

Golfers who register early and pay in full will get the first choice of tee times and course of play for Friday's round. Registration is available online, on the phone or in person at the Eblen Center ticket office.

The competing golfers can take advantage of three practice rounds as well – one at each of the three courses – anytime after they have paid their registration for the tournament.

Based off the feedback from our participants and fans and in an effort to create the best event possible, the newly restructured fundraiser will now span two days, featuring 18 holes of golf on both Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3. The tournament will remain at Golden Eagle Golf Club, Ironwood Golf Course and White Plains Golf Club, just as in years past.

The Bobby Nichols Scramble will kick off Friday morning with the first round of play, with the annual barbeque dinner, contests and door prizes to follow that evening. Flighting will occur based off Friday's results and tee times will be set accordingly and communicated to each participant.

Following the conclusion of the championship flight's final round on Saturday, all participants will receive a ticket to attend Doc Fields' annual golf party/concert.

Pepsi returns as the title sponsor for the 13th year with Budweiser in the 12th year as the presenting sponsor.

The field of 512 is expected to be completely filled for the fundraiser, so participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. With a new and exciting tournament format, the Pepsi Bobby Nichols Golden Eagle Scramble presented by Budweiser will continue to be one of the largest and most popular golf events in the region.

Tournament applications will be mailed to all past participants, former Tennessee Tech athletes and alumni in the surrounding areas.

To register for the tournament, or for additional information, visit the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center or call (931) 372-3941.
