COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—The Tennessee Tech women's basketball program is seeking male basketball practice players for the 2016-17 season to help take part in practice with the team on a regular basis.

The practice team offers the Golden Eagles a chance to practice against someone other than themselves to help prepare the team for competition. Players will be expected to be competitive, knowledgeable and able to take direction from the Tech coaching staff.

All players must meet NCAA qualifications and it is preferable that the athletes have high school basketball experience and availability during practice times for the 2016 fall semester. Also, in order to be eligigble you must be a sophomore or above, within five years of college, and taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Although practice times may vary, the Golden Eagles generally practice 1:45-4:15 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 5-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday; and 5-6 p.m. on Thursday. Occassionally, the Tech team will practice during the mornings on Saturday as well.

Those interested in being a part of the practice squad should contact the women's basketball Director of Basketball Operations Aaron Sternecker at 931-265-0223 or at asternecker@tntech.edu.

You can follow the Golden Eagles online on the TTU Sports and Tennessee Tech Women's Basketball Facebook pages or on Twitter at @TTUGoldenEagles and @TTUWBB.
