Tech women's basketball to continue road-stand at UNC Asheville on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C.—It's a quick turnaround for the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team (1-4) as they compete against UNC Asheville (2-1) on Friday in a 2 p.m. contest at the Kimmel Arena.

Hickson leads the Golden Eagles this season averaging 14.6 points per game, which ranks her fourth amongst OVC opponents. She shoots 43.9 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from the three-point range, and 77.3 percent from the line.

Treyvonna Brooks is proving herself to be a key player on the Tech lineup as she stands as Tech's second leading scorer (averaging 7.6 points per game),  the leading rebounder (averaging 4.4 off the glass per game), and is third  in steals with 8 on the year.

Senior Hannah Goolsby is Tech's third leading scorer with 5.8 points per game and the second leading rebounder with 4.0 boards per game. Goolsby shoots 20.5 percent from the floor, 23.1 percent from downtown, and 62.5 percent from the free throw line.

As a team, the Golden Eagles shoot 34.0 percent from the field, 27.6 percent from downtown, and 66.2 percent from the charity stipe. Tech averages 34.0 boards and 18.4 turnovers per game.

On the season, the Bulldogs shoot 41.6 percent from the floor, 25.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 67.3 percent from the free throw line. Radford averages 38.0 caroms and 16.7 turnovers per game.

Chatori Major is UNC Ashville's second lead with 10.3 points per game. She shoots 40 percent from the field and 85.7 percent from the line. She also stands as the Bulldog's leading rebounder with 4.3 boards per game. 

Tianna Knuckles leads UNC Asheville with 14.3 points per game. She shoots 51.7 percent from the floor, 40 percent from the three-point range, and 71.4 percent from the line. Knuckle's is also the Bulldog's second lead rebounder, averaging 4.0 boards per game.
