free admission;
Meet the players and get autographs on First Tennessee Poster
Night
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Area fans will get their first taste of
Tennessee Tech basketball action Thursday night in Eblen Center,
and the taste will include free Pepsi and popcorn, free admission
to the first 1,000 fans, and free Golden Eagle schedule posters,
compliments of First Tennessee Bank.
The women's and men's teams get the season underway by hosting
exhibition games Thursday evening. First-year coach Sytia Messer's
women's team faces Tennessee Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. That game will
be followed by coach Mike Sutton's men's team against Bluefield
College at 7:30 p.m.
Tech Athletics is hosting the Gathering of Eagles, and providing
free admission to the first 1,000 fans when the doors to Eblen
Center open at 4:30 p.m. In addition, each fan will receive a
coupon good for one free popcorn and one free Pepsi product during
the night's action.
First Tennessee Bank, the corporate sponsor of Tennessee Tech
basketball, is also hosting its annual Poster Night, with free
schedule posters available to fans.
Following each game, the team will be available in the Eblen
Center main lobby to meet fans and sign posters.
Season tickets are on sale for the 2009-2010 season, and are available at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center or by calling (931) 372-3940. Tickets can also be purchased online at TTUsports.com.
