COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Casey Owens, a freshman from Morristown West
High School, is the owner of a brand new pair of Nike running shoes
thanks to the Tennessee Tech men's basketball team and head coach
Mike Sutton.
During the recent Freshmen Welcome event in which TTU
student-athletes welcomed freshmen students to Tech with games,
live entertainment, food and prizes, Owens was entered into a
drawing held by the men's basketball team, and was the winner of a
new pair of shoes.
"It's a good opportunity for us to generate interest and enthusiasm
for our program and get the students involved," Sutton said. "We
have a lot of fun giving away prizes and having contests with the
student body here."
