The Ohio Valley Conference has announced a renewed partnership
with Fox Sports Radio 1370 WDEF-AM in Chattanooga to broadcast an
OVC Men’s Basketball Game of the Week beginning Jan. 19 and
continuing through the conclusion of the regular season.
The Tennessee Tech vs. Tennessee State game in Eblen Center on
Saturday, Jan. 23, has been chosen as one of the games to be
featured. It will give Tech fans in the Chattanooga-area an
additional option for following the Golden Eagles.
This marks the second year of the partnership which saw nine
games broadcast a season ago.
The broadcasts will be produced by Broadcaster Marketing Services
and air exclusively on WDEF.
Veteran play-by-play announcer Frank Santore will serve as the
play-by-play announcer for the games.
Nine of the 11 OVC schools will make an appearance on the
broadcasts this season and for the first time this year the OVC
Tournament semifinals will air on WDEF. The OVC Tournament
semifinals will be held Friday, March 5 at the Sommet Center in
Nashville, Tenn.
