Round two of Mobile Bay Intercollegiate suspended due to darkness after lengthy weather delay

SEMMES, Ala. – Following a delay of more than six hours due to inclement weather, the Tennessee Tech men's golf team completed 14 holes of the second round of competition of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on Monday before play was suspended for darkness. The remainder of the second round, as well as the third and final round, will take place Tuesday at the Falls Course at RTJ at Magnolia Grove.

The Golden Eagles ranked 13th at the time play was suspended while host South Alabama kept its lead at the top of the leaderboard. 

Junior Haden Maxwell boasted two birdies so far in round two, sitting 3-over with four holes to play. One shot back, freshman Drew Bolton tallied a birdie while owning a score of 4-over with four more holes left in the second round.

Needing to finish just three more holes of his second time around the course, Alex Broyles tallied a birdie on Monday while sitting at +7 for the day. Also at 7-over in round two was rookie Spencer Stuke, boasting a birdie along the way with four holes to complete.

Rounding out the Tech lineup, sophomore Owen Bright completed the day at 8-over with three holes to play, also recording a birdie.
