Purple and gold opens spring season at Peoples Golf Championship

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team officially opens its 2025 spring schedule with a trip to St. Simons Island, Ga. and the Peoples Golf Championships hosted by Western Carolina at Sea Palms Resort Thursday through Saturday.

PEOPLES GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP: Mar. 13-15, 2025 – 54 holes (18 Thursday, 18 Friday, 18 Saturday), located at the par-71 Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Ga. Play will feature 18 holes of action each day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

2 - Alex Broyles - SO
3 - Hil Thompson - FR
4 - Matthew Shull - SO
5 - Spencer Stuke - FR
IND - Drew Bolton - FR

THE COMPETITION: The 20-team field consists of host Western Carolina, as well as Belmont, Charleston Southern, Davidson, Drexel, Florida A&M, Francis Marion, Long Island, Marshall, Mount St. Mary's, Murray State, Richmond, Siena, Tennessee Tech, UNCG, UT Martin, Villanova, Winthrop, Wright State, and Xavier.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "After a long break, the guys are excited to start the spring at a great event. The People's Championship at Sea Palms Resort is an excellent venue. We have been qualifying and working hard since school started back in mid-January and look forward to this opportunity."
