Purple and gold wrap up regular season at Jan Weaver Invitational

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team will take a crack at its final tournament before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships, competing at Murray State's Jan Weaver Invitational Friday and Saturday at Miller Memorial Golf Course.

JAN WEAVER INVITATIONAL: Apr. 8-9, 2022 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,234-yard Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Ky. Play will begin with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Friday. Saturday's final round will feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are senior Hannah Bratton, senior Heidi Lawson, junior Elisabeth Toennessen, sophomore Ainsley Simms, and junior Gittle Sciolis. Competing as an individual is junior Makenzie Morton.  

THE COMPETITION: The 11-team field consists of host Murray State, as well as Austin Peay, Belmont, Evansville, Fort Wayne, North Carolina A&T, North Dakota, Samford, Southern Miss, Tennessee State, and Tennessee Tech.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "It has been nice to get some good practice at home these last couple of weeks. Murray is always a good tournament leading into the conference championships, so the team is energized to get back into it."
