COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Six challenging events await the Tennessee Tech women's golf team in the coming months, as the Golden Eagles released their 2021-22 spring schedule.

"After a short break, the ladies are looking forward to playing more and improving on what we lacked in the fall," Tech head coach Amanda Smith said. "This spring schedule has some great courses to approach as we get closer to maintaining our games come OVC at Fighting Joe, a Robert Trent Jones course in Alabama."

The purple and gold will get an early start to the spring, heading to Jacksonville, Fla. for their first experience at the Sea Best Intercollegiate. Hosted by Jacksonville at the San Jose Country Club, the event will run from Monday, Feb. 14 through Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Starting things in the spring for the Golden Eagles is a new event, a trip south to Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. for the Orlando Invitational. The two-day tournament, hosted by Oakland and Cleveland State, spans Monday, Feb. 28 through Tuesday, Mar. 1, taking place on the El Campeón Course at Mission Hills Resort.

Also new to the slate is a two-day trip to Mt. Pleasant, S.C., spanning Monday, Feb. 28 and Tuesday, Mar. 1. Tech will compete in Charleston Southern's Rivertowne Invitational at Rivertowne Country Club.

The purple and gold makes its return to Sevierville, Tenn. to host the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate for the ninth time in 10 years. Running from Sunday, Mar. 13 through Tuesday, Mar. 15, the event will once again take place on the Highlands Course of Sevierville Golf Club.

The following week, the Golden Eagles will make another first-time trip with a visit to Prospect, Ky. for Cleveland State's Nevel Meade Collegiate. Taking place on Monday, Mar. 21 and Tuesday, Mar. 22, the tournament will feature competition at Nevel Meade Golf Club.

Tech will round out the regular-season portion of the spring with a familiar event, heading to Murray, Ky. for the Jan Weaver Invitational. Ohio Valley Conference foe Murray State will host its annual event at Miller Memorial Golf Course from Friday, Apr. 8 through Saturday, Apr. 9.

The Golden Eagles conclude the year at OVC Championships, taking place at the Fighting Joe Course at The Shoals, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The league's annual event will cover Sunday, Apr. 17 through Tuesday, Apr. 19 in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
