COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team heads south for its third event of the fall, competing in the three-day Chris Banister Fall Classic in Gadsden, Ala. at RTJ at Silver Lakes Sunday through Tuesday.

CHRIS BANISTER FALL CLASSIC: Oct. 10-12, 2021 – 54 holes (18 Sunday, 18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,107-yard Mindbreaker and Heartbreaker courses on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Silver Lakes in Gadsden, Tenn. Play will kick off Monday with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are returning freshman Ainsley Simms, sophomore Gittle Sciolis, sophomore Makenzie Morton, senior Isabel York, and sophomore Katrine Toennessen. Competing as an individual for Tech is senior Hannah Bratton.

THE COMPETITION: The seven-team field consists of host Jacksonville State, as well as Alabama State, Charleston Southern, Elon, Murray State, North Alabama, and Tennessee Tech.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "We love getting to play such a tricky course, RTJ Silver Lakes. It is similar to what we will be facing when we head to The Fighting Joe for Conference. The women put in a lot of great work these past two weeks and after reflecting on some small mental improvements we can make as a team from our last event, I know they are ready to bounce back. Excited to get on the road and get another great fall event going."
