Women's golf team opens fall slate at Drakes Creek

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Two new faces and five returnees will be in the lineup Monday when the Tennessee Tech women's golf team opens the fall portion of the 2009-10 schedule at the 54-hole Drake Creek Invitational in Paducah, Ky.

Second-year head coach Brandy Stout's squad welcomes freshmen Amanda Randolph and Katherine Bell for their first collegiate competition. Joining those newcomers will be seniors Megan Bradford, Diana Carson and Katie Brown, and juniors Carley Rhyne and Lindsay Spradlen.

The tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday at the Drake Creek Golf Course, with the final 18 holes scheduled for Tuesday. Tech's five-player team will include Carson in the No. 1 spot, followed by Bradford, Rhyne, Brown and Randolph. Both Bell and Spradlen will be competing as individuals.
