COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech women's golf team is
heading to the beach -- the Beach Blast, that is. Coach Brandy
Stout and the Golden Eagles will be in Gulf Shores, Ala., Monday
and Tuesday to wrap up the fall portion of their schedule by
competing in the Fall Beach Blast, hosted by UAB.
Senior Megan Bradford will lead Tech into the 36-hole tournament,
which will be held at Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club in Gulf
Shores. Bradford owns the low average on the team this fall at
76.9, after winning medalist honors two weeks ago in the F&M
Bank APSU Intercollegiate.
Tech's lineup for the tournament will also include juniors Carley
Rhyne and Lindsay Spradlen (shown in photo at right), and freshmen
Amanda Randolph and Katherine Bell.
The Golden Eagles are coming off their highest finish of the year,
a fourth place showing at the Austin Peay tournament, Oct. 19-20.
Earlier in the year, Tech finished seventh at the Drake Creek
Invitational, eighth at the Great Smokies Invitational and 11th at
Arkansas State's Lady Red Wolf Invitational.
The UAB Fall Beach Blast will feature 18 holes each day. Complete results will be posted each evening on TTUsports.com.
