BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – On the heels of a two-game home stand and two-game win streak, the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, will look to complete a perfect week and go 3-0 with match-up against the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb.

Setting the Stage
In what will mark just the second meeting in program history, the Golden Eagles will travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. on the return end of a Bracket Buster game from the 2010-11 season. Tech won the first and only meeting, in Cookeville, a close fought battle that resulted in a 60-58 victory for the Golden Eagles and helped propel them into the postseason for the first time since 2002.

The Golden Eagles will go up against a tough Runnin' Bulldog defense which is giving up just 58.5 points per game. Gardner-Webb doesn't score a ton of points, averaging just 63.3 points per contest, but their defense makes up for that lack of offense.

The Runnin' Bulldogs are led by sophomore wing Donta Harper, who is averaging 13.5 points per game. Max Landis, a sophomore guard, ranks as the only other double-digit scorer for Gardner-Webb, averaging 11.5 points per contest. Both players are on the floor for more than 30 minutes a game.

Tech will look upon senior guard Jud Dillard to continue his strong season. The Atlanta, Ga. native is scoring 20.4 points per game while pulling down over seven boards per contest. Also averaging double-digits are junior guard Jeremiah Samarrippas (11.0 per game) and freshman guard Lanerryl Johnson (10.0 per game).

Johnson, who redshirted the 2011-12 season, put up career numbers against Green Bay on Thursday night, scoring 22 points and recording six boards to help beat the Phoenix, 74-68.

Dillard scored 23 points, his fifth game of the season with at least 20 points. He went eight-for-eight from the charity stripe, his fourth consecutive game of 100% free throw shooting. Dillard has recorded three double-doubles on the season.
