COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- One of Sears' BracketBuster match-ups this year features the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles going head to head with the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb in Cookeville on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m – the second game of a double-header event with the women.

Coming into Saturday's game, the Bulldogs are riding the high of having just shattered the nation's longest winning streak, holding off Coastal Carolina on Feb. 15, 59-57, to snap the Chanticleers 22-game stand. GWU's Jon Moore clinched the 12^th and final lead change of the game, which was tied 14 times, on a three-pointer with 3:42 left in the contest, setting the score at 55-52.

Gardner-Webb saw two others join Moore, who had 15 points, in double-figure scoring, as Stefon Johnson chipped in with 12 points and nine boards and Laron Buggs netted 10.

The upset win left GWU with a 9-18 overall record, 4-11 in the Big South heading into BracketBuster weekend.

Meanwhile, Tennessee Tech was busy on Valentine's Day shattering the hearts of Tennessee State, as Zac Swansey hit his fourth game-winner of the season to give Tech the 61-59 edge over the Tigers. While his final two points of the game were the most remembered, Tech's Kevin Murphy and Jud Dillard led the team in scoring with 24 points and 13 points respectively.

With that victory, the Golden Eagles may potentially finish as high as second in the OVC with their 11-6 conference record (15-11 overall).

Saturday's contest will mark the first time that Gardner-Webb and Tech have met on the court, and will also mark Tech's "Think Pink" and Pack the House events. To support Breast Cancer Awareness, all fans are encouraged to wear pink on Saturday; everyone wearing pink can purchase tickets for one dollar.

Additionally, it's Pack The House Night as the Golden Eagle women hope to break the school attendance record. The largest crowd to watch a Tech women's game is 6,113 (vs. Middle Tennessee in 1990), so it will take a massive effort from the student body, the Tech community, and the Cookeville area fans to top that mark.
