Tech takes on SEMO Saturday at 6; Coaches wearing sneakers

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- The Golden Eagles wrap up their four-game road stretch Saturday at 6 p.m. with a game at Southeast Missouri in the Show-Me Center. Tech's coaching staff will take part in the "Coaches vs. Cancer" program and wear suits and sneakers on the sidelines.

Against SEMO, the Golden Eagles will be looking to avenge a loss from earlier this season. The Redhawks came into Cookeville on Dec. 21 and delivered a 77-75 loss to Tech. Since then, the Redhawks have accumulated a conference record of 4-7 (5-16 overall) and will be looking to sweep the season series against Tech.

They will also be looking to snap a five game losing streak, as the Redhawks just took a 56-65 loss delivered by Jacksonville State Thursday night. Tech, on the other hand, stole a win from EIU when, for the second time this season, Zac Swansey hit a game winner against the Panthers for a 77-74 W. The win gave the Golden Eagles a 6-4 conference record, 10-9 overall.

Fan's who can't make it to the SEMO game can listen to Roger Ealey calling the action on the Golden Eagle Sports Network, or on free Teamline via phone – 1-800-846-4700 – or on the internet.
